How to Overcome the Nocebo Effect

You might be relieved to know . . . your body makes itself healthier when you signal it with LOVE.

You can wear the masks and gloves, swallow the vitamins, and sanitize everything all day long. But do not forget the most important action step for a healthy body: LOVE.

It’s important to know the flip side: your body makes itself less healthy when you signal it with fear.

Now, I’m sure you know what the placebo effect is, (the body will tend to heal if it believes it will heal).

But . . . Did you know that when we generate thoughts based on fear, we’re activating something called the nocebo effect?

The nocebo effect is when your brain produces chemicals that inform the cells in your body to behave in ways that are detrimental to your happiness and your health.

Basically, you’re chemically poisoning yourself with your thoughts when you are in fear.

For example, a thought like “I’m doomed…” produces chemicals that keep your cells from reproducing, eliminating toxins, and absorbing life-giving nutrients.

When we attack ourselves in our own heads, our bodies behaves as if they’re physically under attack!

Scientific studies have shown that about 70% of our thoughts are negative and redundant.

Chances are that rate is even higher right now.

You, my dear, might be blasting yourself with the nocebo effect all day long!

It could be your own thoughts, and the experiences that generated them, are causing you to feel tired, sick and depressed.
